About Tynedale Beer Festival
Tynedale Beer Festival is the North East’s longest-running and best-loved community festival, celebrating the very best in beer, cider, wines, gin, food, and live entertainment. Set in the picturesque surroundings of Tynedale Rugby Club in Corbridge, the festival draws thousands of visitors each summer for three unforgettable days of flavour, music, and camaraderie.
Founded in 2002, the festival was created with two clear aims — to support local charities and to celebrate the region’s brewing heritage. Organised entirely by volunteers from Tynedale Rugby Football Club and Tynedale Lions Club, it has grown into a flagship community event that raises tens of thousands of pounds each year for good causes across Northumberland and the wider North East.
At the heart of the festival is a showcase of over a hundred and fifty real ales, craft beers, and ciders from independent breweries across the UK — from classic bitters and golden ales to bold IPAs, rich stouts, and refreshing traditional and fruit ciders. For those who prefer something different, there’s also an impressive selection of gins, wines, and soft drinks, along with a mouth-watering range of street food from local traders.
But Tynedale Beer Festival is about more than just great drinks. It’s a true celebration of community spirit — a place where friends meet, families gather, and new memories are made. Each evening features a lively line-up of local bands and musicians, providing the perfect soundtrack to long summer evenings under the Northumberland sky.
Whether you’re a seasoned real ale enthusiast or simply here to enjoy a weekend of live music and atmosphere, Tynedale Beer Festival welcomes everyone with open arms. Every pint poured helps to make a difference, supporting local charities and bringing people together through shared good times.
So raise your glass, grab a seat by the marquee, and join us in celebrating what makes Tynedale Beer Festival so special — great beer, great music, and a great community cause.
