West Northumberland Foodbank is a charity based in Hexham, providing a safety net for people in hardship throughout West Northumberland. We have 80 volunteers including 50 trained support workers at our Food Banks in Prudhoe, Hexham and Haltwhistle where we;
1) Provide free food and household essentials
2) Target support to address the causes/effects of poverty Debt, Benefit problems and Low Pay
3) Provide follow on support to address the consequences of persistent poverty e.g Social Exclusion and poor Mental Health
4) Work with others to reduce poverty
