In 1989, we took over the Dipton Mill Inn in Hexhamshire, just south of the market town of Hexham in the heart of Northumberland. The inn is an authentic traditional country pub, where a warm welcome and very often a roaring fire will greet you, along with home cooked food and of course a great selection of beers.
Once established in the running the Dipton Mill Inn we began to dream of brewing our own range of beers and selling them throughout the region; and so Hexhamshire Brewery was born.
We’ve now being brewing for over a quarter of a century and we have learned a huge amount along the way about traditional brewing methods, which ingredients produce the best results and what kinds of beers our customers like to drink, we remain innovative and always looking to improve.
