  Good Beer

We have a reputation for our beer ...

We have often been complimented on the quality of the beer we serve. Unlike many other beer festivals, we use pumps to deliver the beer because it’s quicker and produces a good head. We also use coolers to keep the beer at the right temperature – particularly important in the summer.  However, we are no experts and none of this would be possible without the help of some of the members of our local CAMRA branch.

We are very grateful to them. From the beginning, they have loaned us equipment and given us the benefit of their time and expertise to ensure that the beer we provide is in tip top condition.

Did you know? At the 2010 Great British Beer Festival CAMRA found that the north east of England was the area of Britain with the highest growth in the number of people trying real ale (from 33% to 74% in just 2 years!). Now why is that, I wonder!

The plumbing!

Note the coolers in the forground

Tyneside and Northumberland CAMRA branch also holds a great beer festival each year in Newcastle. The next one is on 13th to 16th April 2011 in the Northumbria University Students Union building. To find out more click here.
